Superior and Duluth locals attended The Adventure Acres agritourism farm for their first Trick or Treat Trails event on Oct. 13 in Superior, WI. 

“I just opened August of this year,” said Tosha Tiessen, owner and CEO of Adventure Acres. “I used to own the Playtime Palace in Superior, " she said.

The farm has the sweetest ponies, pigs, sheep, goats, and chickens. People can buy feed cones and caddies for the animals. 

The fun doesn’t end at interacting with the animals. The Adventure Acres has a large fire pit for making s’mores and warming up. There are bowls of candy hidden all over the farm and a barrel train ride for the more adventurous people. For those who want to grab a pumpkin and a carving kit there is a spot to do that in the barn. 

“Kids like it. Parents like it too,” Tiessen said. 

October themed events are not the only events that Adventure Acres hosts. 

“For winter time I plan on doing sledding and s'mores and stuff like that,” Tiessen said.

A few local businesses set up tables at Adventure Acres to support the event. Each table had some candy and drinks for anyone to enjoy. 

Jessie Custer, a representative for The Title Team, set up a table for this event. There was candy and Capri Suns at her table. 

“We are here on behalf of The Title Team, supporting Adventure Acres,” said Custer. “I think it's great.”
