UMD held its annual student art market from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 15. Originally meant to be held outside in Ordean Court, the sellers were forced inside by less-than-pleasant weather. The vendors’ tables were instead set up in the hallways outside the Montague lecture halls.
The market boasted works from local artists of all forms of media. Photographers, jewelry makers, painters and candle makers were just a few types of creatives that were present at the fair. Customers perused the tables and the students made their pitches in hope of making a sale and getting their art into the world.
