A warning for dangerous swimming conditions on Park Point beaches has been enacted by the Duluth Fire Department from Sept. 5 until Sept. 6 at 10 a.m.

Due to rough wind and wave conditions, there is a high risk of rip currents so the Duluth Fire Department is advising the public to stay out of the water until further notice.

The risk is “high” since there are no lifeguards at Park Point. Because of this, and to ensure people are staying out of Lake Superior, red flags have been placed along these locations: 12 St. Beach, Lafayette Square and Park Point Beach.

More information and updates regarding these warnings can be found at www.parkpointbeach.org.
