UMD Softball Executes Double Home Victory Against Bemidji State

UMD Softball faces Bemidji State in a double header at Malosky Stadium on Wednesday, March 26 at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Winning the first game 6-3 and the second 4-1. UMD started the game strong in the first inning with one run and then made another run in the third inning.
The Bulldogs worked extra hard in the fourth inning by gaining four runs making the score 6-0. The beavers started making a comeback in the fifth inning with three runs. Both teams didn’t make any more runs in the sixth or seventh inning, making the final score of the game 6-3 with a Bulldog victory.
They started the next game at 4 p.m. with the Bulldogs taking the advantage again in the first inning with one run. In the second inning the bulldogs gained another run making the score 2-0 with 5 innings left. UMD gained two more runs in the fourth inning, but Bemidji gained one run in the seventh inning making the final 4-1 with a double UMD victory of the day.
In the first game Sierra Thomas led the pack with two runs while Kendal Jenkins, Khendal Johnson, Taryn Christopher and Noelle Krumrie each with one run. In the second game Serena Timmer, Nicole Schmitt, Kendal Jenkins and Khendal Johnson each had one run.
With the help of the coaches, the team worked together to defeat Bemidji and take on a home double header victory. The Bulldogs next game is against Wayne State on Friday, March 28 at 1 p.m.
